This collection is a must-have for fans of "thinking man’s shooters." While the AI can feel dated and the graphics show their age, the core gameplay loop of scouting a base with binoculars and executing a perfect silent infiltration is still as addictive as it was twenty years ago. Classic tactical gameplay that rewards patience. Iconic sound design and atmospheric music. Easy to run on almost any modern hardware. Cons: Steep difficulty curve (especially in IGI 1). "IGI 3 & 4" are unofficial/fan-made content. I can tweak the tone to fit!

Despite the lack of a mid-mission save feature—which still makes it one of the most heart-pounding stealth games ever—the atmospheric soundtrack and tactical freedom hold up remarkably well.

The meat of this collection lies in the first two official titles.
