A new line of green text typed itself out slowly in the center of the frozen, static-filled screen: SUBJECT EXTRACTED. UPLOADING TO HOST.
As he guided the character forward, the audio design began to mess with his head. He could hear the distinct, crunching sound of combat boots on broken glass, the heavy breathing of the soldier, and the distant, muffled sound of automatic gunfire.
