You unlock new characters like Pasadena O'Possum, Nina Cortex, and Crunch Bandicoot by completing their specific missions within the different park hubs.
Between races, you explore the park on foot as Crash. You can talk to NPCs to accept "jobs," which are the primary way to earn Power Crystals , Wumpa Coins , and new car bodies.
