The gameplay in Battle for Neighborville is a mixed bag. On one hand, the game excels at delivering fast-paced action, with a variety of playable characters, each with their unique abilities and playstyles. The Plants, led by the likes of Peashooter and Sunflower, face off against an assortment of zany zombies, including the likes of Buckethead and Bungee Zombie.
