To "download" the truth of his predicament, Alistair realized he had to stop fighting the visions and start navigating them. He stood, his phantom armor clanking with a sound like breaking glass, and stepped toward the flickering light at the end of the corridor. The walls began to bleed ink, forming runes that pulsed with a rhythmic, digital hum.

Every time Alistair closed his eyes, the world didn't go dark; it brightened into a searing, surreal landscape of floating ruins and screaming stars. This was the "Waking Knightmare"—a curse whispered about in the old texts, where a warrior’s own courage is weaponized against them in a realm between sleep and waking. As the first shadow-beast lunged, its maw opening like a corrupted file, Alistair didn't flinch. He reached into the air and pulled a blade of pure, white light from the static. The "Knightmare" was no longer just a dream—it was a battleground he intended to conquer. To "download" the truth of his predicament, Alistair

Sir Alistair Thorne sat bolt upright, his breath hitching in a throat that felt like it was filled with iron filings. The damp, cold air of the dungeon—if that’s where he was—pressed against him like a physical weight. He reached for his sword, but his hand met only the cold, slick surface of a stone floor. Every time Alistair closed his eyes, the world

His memories were a fractured mosaic: a silver-misted forest, a high-pitched whistling that vibrated in his marrow, and then… this. He wasn't dead, he was certain of that, but he felt unanchored from reality. He was a knight of the Golden Rose, a man of logic and steel, yet the shadows dancing on the perimeter of his vision had too many limbs and far too many eyes.

He wasn't just in a dungeon; he was the data within a dying mind, a fragment of a hero trying to execute a final command: Survive.

Crouch - L2
Jump - L1
Previous force power - left d-pad
Next force power - right d-pad
Saber style - down d-pad
Reload - up d-pad
Use - select
Show scores - start
Bow - triangle (Y)
Use force power - mouse 4 (rear side button)
Special ability (slap) - mouse 5 (front side button)
Primary attack - left mouse button
Secondary attack - right mouse button
Change weapon - scroll wheel up/ down

Bare in mind the PS1 controller is layed out differently to the eggsbox controller. I put Use on select because I could reach it from the analogue stick easily.
